Pricing
We can provide a quote from a set of general arrangement drawings or a Revit model. This means we can quote on a per drawing or per tonne of rebar basis. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a competitive fee quotation for your next package of work.
The process
Project kick-off
We have developed a short form that enables us to conform to the correct standards and codes for your specific project. You can also add any other directions you wish to include. Our quality systems are there to ensure you get best value and no ‘nasty surprises’!
It is at that this point that you will also be notified of your key CADS team contacts, both locally e.g. at the London & South East or Dubai office and in our central resource hub based in Chennai, India. Project email addresses are shared and team members on your side and ours are all made aware of any agreed communication protocols.
If you wish you can visit your local detailing office and meet your local team co-ordination members. We would recommend this if this is your first project and even if it is not, you are always welcome to drop by.
Software
We do all of our detailing using CADS RC (also known as RebarCAD in the USA and Canada) software, which has been developed for the, Indian, US and international markets.
Running in AutoCAD, CADS RC/RebarCAD has been the market leading reinforced concrete detailing software in the UK and around the world for more than 20 years. Its success is due to its advanced detailing features and technical excellence, which include integration with design and fabrication software. CADS RC/RebarCAD can detail anything and has been successfully used on all sorts of building,transportation, water, process and power projects including precast concrete elements.
The bar bending schedules are produced automatically from the drawings, reducing the likelihood of errors in transferring information from drawing to schedule.
Co-ordination
Our regional co-ordinators manage multiple projects and act as a first point of contact for our clients. We can assist clients with managing larger projects at very short notice. In the UK we have London based co-ordinators with many years of experience so you know you are in safe hands.
Your contract drawings can be supplied by email or by one of the project management sites such as ASITE and Aconex.
Deliverables
Our deliverables include CADS RC/RebarCAD AutoCAD drawings in dwg, dwf, pdf, and other formats, bar bending schedules/bar lists in Excel or interface files to SteelPac, Ariadis, etc.
Revisions
CADS RC/RebarCAD enables us to handle revisions with speed and confidence. If requirements change we can still stay on top, with a revision system that allows you to automatically generate revisions, regardless of their quantity or complexity. All changes to the drawing are immediately reflected in the always current bar bending schedule and all bar labels, sections etc and are also updated automatically.
